walking and swimming

So this is not brand new news, but I wanted to wait till I could pull the video off the camera. Since our camera connection cord is broken and our computer doesn't have a card reader, I have to borrow a portable usb card reader from Joe and Jennae. Anyway... on July 10 Jefferson took his first steps! it was really cute, in the morning he took his first step when I was playing with him he took a step towards me I think by accident because he seemed really surprised, it was funny. Then later that evening when Mike and I were around he up and took a few steps! It took us till the next night to finally get it on camera, but it was so cute! I think my favorite part of the clip is where he claps for himself at the end!
Another fun thing is that Jennae bought Jefferson a little kiddie pool that is just the right size for him, and he absolutely loves swimming in it! Its so funny, he thinks it is so funny to have water poured over his head, or splashed in his face he just laughs this quirky laugh, I need to catch it on camera but here are a couple of cute swimming pictures, he is such a cutie!

Just Dance!

So Jefferson has discovered that he loves dancing anytime he hears music. (yes that even includes the closing hymn in relief society!) here are a few fun movies I have caught! I turned on the movie Enchanted to watch while I was cleaning, during the song 'How does she know' Jefferson was laughing, singing and dancing along!

he has learned how to shake his booty!

Here is his bounce dance!

always test the cookies!!

so yesterday was my little brothers homecoming, and we got up early enough so that we could drive up to bountiful in the snow and still go to the whole meeting....well ok that was the idea, but we would have at least made it to the last two meetings:) but as we were about to walk out the door, I realized I had forgotten to make cookies! so we decided it would be ok to go just to sacrament meeting this once so I could make the cookies I said I was going to. I made them, and the didn't look quite the same as they usually do, but hey, who cares right? well everything goes well, we get there for sacrament meeting and lunch was amazing, I was to full to take even one of the cookies I had made. well there were leftovers, and when I got home from school today I grabbed one for a snack, ugh! they were awful! I don't know what I did wrong, this was not the first time I have used that recipe, and I have no idea how many people ate those cookies, but sorry!!! so moral of the story is, if they look funny, try them before serving them to your whole extended family!

another year gone

So I find myself at the end of the year and in a mood of reflection. I can't believe the year is already over, and my baby is over 9 months old. it has been so much fun to watch him learn new things, and amazing to see his personality developing. here are some fun pictures of him

we got these taken the wee before Christmas, and I just love how adorable he looks in all of them, these ones just a small sampling! Its amazing to think that just a short while ago I was not a mother, when now it seems like it is the center focus of my life.

a couple of my favorite moments that we recorded

The first time we were able to catch his laugh on the camera

his way to big coat

afraid of the cow (the camera work is terrible :))

this is my favorite time of the day, when it comes time to feed him. Jeffereson LOVES food, he can't get enough of it, and if you take to long to get it to his mouth he freaks out. when he he gets excited his hands go crazy, and when its time to eat they are going faster than at any other time!! here is my little bird....

I pod Idol

so I have a lot of videos and pictures of Jefferson, but our connector broke so those are coming in a few days, but Joe Thomas recorded this while we were playing a game called I Pod Idol that some girls came up with while I was in China. how it goes like this; you put a blind-fold on and someone picks a song on the Ipod and you put the earphones in and turn it up all the way so you can't see or hear anyone watching you, and the people watching can't hear the song, except for you singing it, its really funny, and this is Michael doing Enrique Iglaseous (sp?) Bialamos. enjoy!
